Living in The Material World
I only saw the first part of Martin Scorsese’s documentary, George Harrison: Living in The Material World, yesterday, in Notting Hill. And I fell in love with it. I was expecting for it to premiere for such a long time, and I’m happy I got to see the first part (because there was a problem with the projector) on the big screen. I never cry in movies, but I...

2 Pints of Milk
Today I’ve been pissed off, but I managed to buy 2 pints of milk. When I am really angry or depressed, walking is my remedy, and thinking is such a burden I wish I was an irrational animal. But, somehow, in this area I’m in, I don’t know to which direction I should walk. It’s the return walk that holds me back more than anything, and I really want to save money until my...

DVDs, Blu-Rays, CDs...
Once again I’m impressed. And while it will seem a repetition, I would like to maintain this point of view. Don’t get me wrong, London is expensive. It really is, but then you enter an HMV store and you look at the price tag of DVDs and Blu-Rays, and all of a sudden you want to buy the entire stock. You find DVDs at from £3/£4 to £8, that are not bad films, but even great masterpieces....

The Drop of Water: Turning Point →
thedropofwater:
A year ago today I was in New York. I would probably be on my way to Central Park. If there was a day that changed my life completely, from a subjective, and maybe slightly objective, point of view, it was that day. Nothing was the same after that, and nothing will ever be. In practical terms,…

Book store...shop
I was living in a place where the price of a book, any book, was outrageously expensive. If by any chance I found a book at 15 euros, it would be because it was a very promising day. It was the second reason that lead me into reading in English - the first was that I obviously liked it. It is sad to observe how culture is still considered, in many places, as an “elitist product”,...

29 Celsius
So I’ve heard that yesterday was the hottest September 28th ever to occur in London. I have to admit it is really strange for my stereotyped mind to perceive a London as a clear blue skied city. The sky is so blue, in fact, you can’t spot a single cloud in it, and you see airplanes on their way to exotic destinations as if you’re looking up to an atmospheric map. If airports...

Ready to Eat
Pret A Manger is everywhere in London. Last time I came here, there were a couple of Starbucks and most franchised cafés were Costas. Now, for a while I thought I were in New York or something, which compared to London now seems to be in a shortage of Pret A Mangers (as if any place on Earth could lack such a thing). You see many Starbucks too, but not so many Costas, which apparently is now...

Welcome
Hullo! Welcome to my newborn baby blog. This is an experiment in progress, which has just begun. Tomorrow, I will start a new chapter at trying to pursue some different route, and I have just moved to London. I will let London be the center of this blog, and not me. I will be the eyes that will give you the pictures, the mind that will narrate and interpret it for you, and the body that will feel...
